The Trow Insurance Agency is an independent life insurance agency based in New Franken, Wisconsin, operated by Mercedez Kuse, a licensed life insurance agent.

Why licensing matters to you

Insurance is regulated state by state rather than nationally. An agent has to hold an active licence in the state where you live in order to help you there, and the products and insurance companies available differ from one state to the next.

That is why the first thing I ask is where you live. It is not a formality. It determines whether I am the right person to help you at all.

Where I can help

I am licensed in Wisconsin and in a limited number of additional states. Rather than publish a list here that could fall out of date, I would rather you ask me directly, and I will tell you straight away whether I can help where you live.

Verifying an insurance agent

You are entitled to check the licence of anyone who offers to sell you insurance, and you should. Every state's department of insurance keeps a public lookup for producers licensed in that state. In Wisconsin, that is the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance.

What varies by state

Products, features, riders, underwriting rules, and which insurance companies operate at all can differ depending on where you live. Coverage is never guaranteed until a policy is actually issued, and any coverage is subject to the terms of that issued policy.
